Cherry Street Players

To all Black Hills youth who wish to explore their artistic talent, the Cherry Street Players will begin its Fall session in September. This will be one inclusive program available to youth ages 9-17. The Cherry Street Players is a children’s performance troupe and outreach of the Black Hills Community Theatre. Weekly classes will involve children in learning the fundamentals of live theatre, improving communication skills, memorization of scenes and monologues, group activities and games and teamwork skills. This is not just for those young ones who want to perform onstage. There are many aspects to live theatre including carpentry, crafts, costumes, sound, lights, to name a few.

Auditions for the Fall Session will be September 8 & 9, 2008 at the ARC, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Either day may be chosen and auditions take about 15 minutes. Please prepare a short scene, song or reading.

Classes will begin the following week on Tuesday.

Cost for the session is $260, which includes tax.  Payment is due on or before the first day of class. Payment may be made by check, Money Order, Cash, Visa or MasterCard.
