TECHNICAL CAMPS 2007

      How To Build A Set – August 13 - 17

The Art of Scenic Painting – August 20 - 24
Ages 13 - 18. Instructor – Amy McClure, BHCT Technical Director
Cost - $31.80 - 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Class Maximum – 10.

• This camp will provide students with a basic knowledge of painting scenery and props for the stage. They will learn strange and exciting techniques that only work for theatrical visuals. Students will work an actual stage pieces that will be used in upcoming productions at BHCT. Paint clothing and appropriate footwear will be required.

Costume Creation and Design - August 20 - 24
Ages 13 - 18, Instructor - Chris Lee, BHCT Costume Manager
Cost - $31.80 - 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Class Maximum - 10.

• Interested in Costume Design?   Students will learn the role of the costume designer in a production, fundamentals of reasearch and design, and through a hands-on approach, learn how costumes are created.  Sewing experience in not required.  Costumes worked on will be used in an actual upcoming BHCT production.  Students will also take a day field trip for a behind-the-scenes tour of The Black Hills Passion Play in Spearfish, SD.
