When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The brave Antigone dares death to bury her brother's corpse against the decree of the King, her uncle Creon. In spite of her love for Creon's son and the promise of a golden future, Antigone chooses to stand up to oppression and give her brother a rightful burial no matter the cost. First performed in German occupied France, this adaptation of the Greek tale utilizes modern language and humor to bring the classic tale to life.

After spending time at the local hospital, Annie and her best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new settee for the waiting room. With the help of four fellow Women's Institute members, they decide to be bold and pose nude for an "alternative calendar". The news of the women's charitable venture spreads like wildfire, and hordes of press soon descend on the small village of Knapeley in the Yorkshire Dales. This humorous, yet poignant, story is based on the 2003 movie of the same name.

In the late 1940s, Stine, a bookish writer of detective stories, struggles to adapt his crime novel into a workable screenplay. As Stine tries to maintain some integrity in the backstabbing world of Hollywood, his protagonist, a hardboiled private eye named Stone, fights for survival in a city full of criminals and opportunists. In a clever design choice, the stories are told on a split stage: Stine’s world is in full color, while Stone’s appears in black and white.

When Rob Macleod’s family farm is threatened by construction of a pipeline underneath it, the event will light a fuse, threatening to divide the family he loves. While futilely fighting the changing times, Rob clashes with his daughter, who long ago left home, and his son, who has patiently stayed by Rob's side. The real threat is a Heartland that doesn't include the next generation.

A family drama for adults

BHCT’s season will also include the young Cherry Street Players performing two one act comedies (10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse and Everyone Gets Eaten by Sharks) in December and Diary of a Wimpy Kid in April, the annual Holiday Gala, shows from the Well Done Players including Four Old Broads and The Women, play readings as part of the Discovery series and other exciting events and programs!

Black Hills Community Theatre will begin the search for production staff for this exciting season immediately and tentative audition dates for the season will be announced by June. Season Passes will go on sale for Early Birds on June 16th.
