A midwestern family drama for adults
When Rob Macleod’s family farm is threatened by construction of a pipeline underneath it, the event will light a fuse, threatening to divide the family he loves. While futilely fighting the changing times, Rob clashes with his daughter, who long ago left home, and his son, who has patiently stayed by Rob's side. The real threat is a Heartland that doesn't include the next generation.

Meet the Playwright!
BHCT is excited to announce that Eminent Domain playwright Laura Leininger-Campbell will be joining us for opening weekend of our production!
There will be a talkback with the playwright immediately following the Opening Night performance on May 1st and then Laura will be leading a playwriting workshop at 10am on Saturday May 2nd.
Laura Leininger Campbell is a playwright and actor. Her writing, including the plays Eminent Domain, Worms, Terminal, and Buried Phoenix, reflect intersections between real-life struggles and how we conjure hope and determination from those conflicts. Her most recent production of Eminent Domain was presented by Angels Theater Company at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her plays have been honored with distinction from the Eugene O'Neill Playwrights conference, Henley Rose Playwrights Competition, Seven Devils Play Foundry, Ashland National Play Foundry, and the Great Plains Theater Commons.
