SHOW CAST

Karina Causey (Stage Directions) is a Texas native and a military spouse with two daughters, Evie and Elowyn, who consume her life. Karina is also very involved in Girl Scouts as a volunteer. Although it has been a couple years, Karina has also been previously cast as Kay and Rachel in Laugh Out Loud Cry Quietly, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Clara’s understudy in 33 Variations, Farrah the Faerie in She Kills Monsters and others in previous years.

Heidi Dehn (Mary Shelley; 5pm) is excited for the challenge of bringing Mary Shelly, the mother of horror and the original goth babe, to life. When not on stage she is found writing, designing, enjoying good gin and wine with her partner, and cuddling her cats. She wishes you a happy and safe spooky season.

Alexis Evon (Mary Shelley; 8pm) is a multi-faceted artist who loves creating stories and sharing magick. This has been an especially fun one to make, as spooky season is the best time of year and the nature of theatre allows for beautiful, distorted reflections as companions to life's journeys. Alexis would like to thank their family and the universe. And you! Thank you for supporting art!

ARTISTIC STAFF

David Templeton (Playwright) was born in Southern California. The first play he ever saw on stage was James Baldwin’s Blues for Mister Charlie, in Los Angeles in 1968. While occasionally taking roles in community theater productions, his lifelong love of theater was primarily expressed through his theater reviews and arts journalism, until 2009, when he was persuaded by friends to write and perform the autobiographical show, Wretch Like Me.  His plays include the award-winning Galatea, Drumming With Anubis, Mary Shelley’s Body, Polar Bears, Pinky, Wretch Like Me and the upcoming Featherbaby. His fiction has appeared in dozens of books, magazines and newspapers.

Shannon Truax (Director) has lived in Rapid City since 1999. At work she is a mild mannered city employee. In her free time she camps, reads, crochets, plays all kinds of games, cooks, and rides a motorcycle. Having raised her children, she is now on a quest to live the rest of her life as an adventure, so she has good stories to tell in the nursing home.
