ARTISTIC STAFF

Anna Auchampach (Assistant Director) is elated to be a part of the Pericles team as Assistant Director! Anna is a performing arts enthusiast, USD grad, and teaches with the Academy of Dance Arts! She is passionate about choreographing for the local theatre community and performing with BHCT in The Revolutionists, Sister Act, Love's Labor's Lost, Shrek, dancing with Flutter Production's Rumpelstiltskin, and with Catalyst Theater Company's Photograph 51. Anna gives a special shoutout to her dad for always encouraging her artistic dreams.

Hidie Dahl (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be a part of the production team of Pericles! Having only experienced the acting side of BHCT productions (such as Patty DiMarco in School of Rock and a member of the Kit Kat Klub in Cabaret), Hidie is glad to have received the opportunity to broaden her theatre experience by stage managing this talented group of actors!

Dave DeChristopher (Apprentice Company Director/Playwright) most recently directed the Cherry Street Players’ production of Xanadu Jr. and the Well Done Players’ reading of Ladies at the Alamo. Previous BHCT directing credits include Urinetown, Charlotte’s Web, The Thanksgiving Play, The Penelopiad, Alexa’s a Spy, and Letters of a Woman Homesteader, which he also adapted for the stage. Support the arts in Rapid City!

Heidi Dehn (Playwright)  has always been drawn to the written word and to the world of Shakespeare. She loves being able to create worlds and see them come to life on the stage. Plays allow for unique examination of life which truly is one adventurous voyage through many worlds and Heidi aims to see this world from as many angles as possible in her work.

Patti Martinson (Playwright) has lived in the Black Hills for most of her life and has been a participant in the theater for about as long as an audience member, volunteer, actor and playwright.  The Black Hills theater community is vibrant and she is happy to be part of it in any capacity. When not coming up with story ideas and writing them down, she enjoys reading and volunteering in other capacities in Rapid City.

L. D. Potter (Playwright) is a member of the Broken Lemons Playwrighting group.  Twice he has been a finalist in the Old Opera House New Voice Play Festival with the show Tuesday Afternoon Bridge Club in 2022 and Temporary Affection Order in 2024.  In 2024 his play Once Upon a Time was performed as a live radio play by Sundog Theater, Staten Island, NY.

Merlyn Q. Sell (Director/Playwright) is BHCT's Artistic Director. She directed last year's Love's Labours Lost for the Summer Stage Series. Merlyn's work at BHCT is permitted by her two cats, Nora and Tallulah.

Morgan Wilson (Apprentice Company Director) is so excited to be working with this creative team for The Adventures of Pericles! She works in Education and Outreach at BHCT and is the musical theater instructor at Fusion Dance Studio. Morgan holds a BA in musical theater from Northern State University. Her recent credits include Lizzie: The Musical at the Catalyst Theater Company and Anastasia at Seraphim Theater.
