 Join the playwrights of BHCT’s Broken Lemons, plus our intrepid volunteer directors and actors as we bring you a full night of theatre all the way from the page to the stage in just one day. The festivities commence at 7pm on Friday, August 22nd when teams are drawn at random. Then playwrights have twelve hours to write their scripts, and directors and actors have twelve hours to rehearse, before these plays receive their world premiere performance at 7pm on August 23rd. Impossible to predict and a ton of fun, The Broken Lemons Play in a Day is the perfect kick off event to another great BHCT season.
The mission of BHCT is to collaborate with our community to entertain, educate, and foster growth in the arts with a vision to serve as a creative and educational home that is inclusive, transformative, and inspirational for the entire community and the values of community engagement, inclusivity, innovation and creativity.


 Black Hills Community Theatre performs on the ancestral homelands of the Paha Sapa. We acknowledge we share this community with the Oceti Sakowin and the legacies of violence, displacement, migration and settlement that have brought our community together.
