What can your donation do for BHCT?
Live Theatre is Back! During the COVID-19 Pandemic, it was unclear when audiences would be ready to fill our seats again, but after a successful run of Average Family, record breaking ticket sales for Shrek: The Musical and four sold out performances of Treasure Island for the young Cherry Street Players, it’s clear that you are ready! That doesn’t mean that BHCT is back to full operating capacity though. Like most community theatres, ticket sales only make up about 50% of our operating budget. Plus, since 2020 costs for several important items including lumber, fabric, timely shipping and even performance rights have increased which means it’s more expensive now than ever to create theatrical productions. As Black Hills Community Theatre emerges from these past few years of uncertainty and embarks on a new era, your generous support is more important than ever to keep us thriving and providing our audiences with the level of quality theatre that you have grown accustomed to.

If you have more questions about what your donation of $5, $10, $25 or more could mean to BHCT or have any other questions, email info@bhct.org.

Your generous donation could help provide:
  • $9 - 1 script for a non-musical
  • $18 - 1 roll of gaffe tape for the scene shop
  • $25 - 1 script for a musical
  • $80 - Costume dry cleaning for a mainstage show
  • $160 - Props for a mainstage show
  • $200 - Rental of the orchestrations for a musical
  • $525 - Program insert printing for a mainstage show
  • $625 - Costumes for a mainstage show
  • $900 - Performance rights
  • $1,500 - The set for a mainstage show
