Where is the Best Local Dining?
The Center for Performing Arts is located only three blocks south of the heart of downtown Rapid City, where there are numerous dining options before and after the shows.
What Time DOES The Show Start?
All evening shows begin at 7:30 p.m., with matinees beginning at 2:00 p.m. The lobby is open one hour before the show, and the house will begin seating audience members one half an hour before showtime.
MY Favorite person in the world is in the SHow! Can I take their picture while performing?
There is absolutely no photography or filming of any kind allowed during performances. This is in strict accordance with rules given to us by the playwrights, publishing companies and various performers unions.
I like to look my best! Should I Dress Up For the Show?
There is no specific dress code for Black Hills Community Theater. Choices range from casual to dressy, but we’re more concerned that you are in attendance than what you wear.
I smoke cigarettes. I know, I should quit. But Can I smoke inside the theater anyway?
Smoking or use of any tobacco products is prohibited in the Performing Arts Center and on School grounds.
Do I need to where a mask?
We are no longer requiring masks for audience members during performances with the EXCEPTION of Sundays. As we responsibly transition back to normal life, we want to offer one performance per production to those who are still more comfortable being masked.
