Julius Caesar

A DRAMA IN THE STUDIO THEATER
BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
DIRECTED BY MERLYN Q. SELL
ASSISTANT DIRECTED BY NICOLAS CHRISTENSON

November 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20 at 7:30pm
November 7, 14, 21 at 2:00pm
Join us for an "Unpretentious Conversation about Shakespeare" talkback with Merlyn Q. Sell, MFA in Shakespeare and Performance and director of Julius Caesar, after the show on Friday, November 12th.

Due to the marked increase in Covid cases in our area, Black Hills Community Theatre has chosen to require masks at all upcoming events.
Set in Rome in 44 BC, the timeless Shakespeare classic depicts the moral dilemma of Brutus as he joins a conspiracy led by Cassius to murder Julius Caesar to prevent him from becoming dictator of Rome. Following Caesar’s death, Rome is thrust into a period of civil war, and the republic the conspirators sought to preserve is lost forever.

Warning: This production includes staged depictions of violence, mob brutality, and suicide. The production includes haze effects that may be uncomfortable for some viewers.
