Cory Tomovick at BHCT

Black Hills Community Theatre is excited to bring storyteller Cory Tomovick for a day of workshops and performance on Saturday February 17th.

Cory Tomovick is a teacher, songwriter, gardener and lover of the natural world where she finds inspiration for the tales she weaves. She believes our stories matter and shape us from childhood, through young adulthood, middle age, and beyond. They are to be celebrated. Cory has lived in the Black Hills for over 25 years. Through her many roles, it is storytelling that has helped her navigate and find meaning as time keeps turning.

WORKSHOPS:
10am-12pm – Workshop for students 16+ - Cost $10 – limit 25 students

12:30-2:30pm – Workshop for students 9-16 – Cost $10 – limit 25 students

Learn how to transform your personal stories into performance with Cory Tomovick! Students will get a chance to apply Cory's techniques to their own stories and learn first had the importance of their own story and its impact on others. Sign up for workshops below.

PERFORMANCE:
7pm: Pay What You Will performance of The Frog Pond in the Studio Theater
The Frog Pond is a playful space where we can listen, laugh, and find meaning in our shared experiences through the seasons of life.

 Black Hills Community Theatre performs on the ancestral homelands of the Paha Sapa. We acknowledge we share this community with the Oceti Sakowin and the legacies of violence, displacement, migration and settlement that have brought our community together.
